About Quinta do Furao
This stately quinta enjoys an idyllic location on a rocky plateau above the cliffs, amidst vineyards and wonderful gardens on the outskirts of Santana. The hotel offers unique views of the sea and surrounding coastal area. Santana's center, with its many shopping and entertainment venues, is just 2 km away. Funchal is approximately 32 km from the hotel, and Faial Beach is a short 10-minute drive. The airport is about 45 minutes away (approximately 20 km). This comfortable, three-story hotel comprises 45 exclusive rooms: 39 double rooms, four junior suites, and two villas. Facilities include an elegant foyer with 24-hour reception and lifts, a bar, a café, a cozy lounge with a fireplace, a reading and games room, and an à la carte restaurant with excellent cuisine and highchairs. Housed in a lovingly restored manor house, the hotel also boasts a well-stocked wine cellar with a historical wine press. Guests can make use of the public internet terminal and laundry service. Car parking is also available. A traditional Madeiran thatched roof house is an additional charming amenity. Each comfortable room features an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, direct-dial telephone, cable TV, a safe, and central heating. Select rooms have a balcony. Please note: From February 15th to April 30th, construction will be confined to the new building. The structure of the new wing will be complete, and this period will focus on the final finishes of the 20 new superior rooms. Work will take place from Monday to Saturday (excluding bank holidays). No major noise is expected.
