About Karibu Camps & Lodges – Serengeti Sametu Camp
This 15-tent camp offers incredibly spacious sleeping quarters, including an expansive family tent with two separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. Each tent has an ensuite bathroom with running water, a marble-topped single basin vanity, a separate hot shower area elevated on teak flooring, and an enclosed private flush toilet. Each tent is furnished with a comfortable sitting area complete with a hand-carved wood coffee table, cozy upholstered side chairs, and a writing desk. At night, enjoy glorious sunsets over the Ngarenyuki River from your private veranda, resting on comfortable teak folding chairs. Located on the eastern edge of the Seronera Valley, far from the well-traveled tourist circuits and near the famous Barafu Kopjes, Sametu Camp boasts quiet seclusion, panoramic views of the open savannah plains, and the Ngarenyuki River meandering nearby. Wildlife sightings at the spring-fed watering hole are common, including the neighboring Sametu lion pride.
