The Island has got 6 area/towns: Ischia Porto, Casamicciola Terme, Lacco Ameno, Forio, Serrara Fontana, Barano d'Ischia. Only Serrara Fontana and Barano are not on the coast. The highest peak is Mount Epomeo with about 800 m in altitude. The island has about 60.000 habitant. There are about 37 km of coast to enjoy the sea, famous beaches are Citara.

To reach the island of Ischia, can arrive in Naples by car, train or flight. From the city can take a ferry or hydrofoil from the 4 ports (Naples Beverello, Naples Mergellina, Naples Calata di Massa and Pozzuoli). On the island the main harbours are: Porto d'Ischia, Casamicciola port and the port of Forio. The ferry lasts about 90 min and the hydrofoil about 50 min.
