About Lion Safari Camp

The hotel, set on grounds containing around 900 mango trees, is situated just 3 km from the main Sasan village, where guests can find shopping facilities. Public transport is located about 5 minutes' walk away, while the bus and train stations are around 15 minutes' drive away. The hotel is 40 km from Keshod and 45 km from Somnath. Diu Airport is 110 km away. The hotel is a new luxury jungle safari camp at the famous Gir National Park. It is the first of its kind in Gir National Park, in a private mango orchard overlooking the Hiran River. The hotel, which offers 20 luxury tents, was renovated in 2008. Facilities include a lobby with 24-hour reception, hotel safe and currency exchange facilities, a TV lounge, a children's playground and a restaurant. Internet access, room service, a laundry service, bicycle hire and a car park are also offered. The hotel can accommodate around 40 persons at maximum occupancy. All the tents are air conditioned/heated (individually regulated) with a back-up generator. The tents have large bedrooms with king-size beds and well-appointed en suite bathrooms with bath, shower, hairdryer and hot/cold running water. A direct dial telephone and a terrace also feature. Guests can play table tennis, carom, chess, volleyball or snooker in the hotel. An entertainment programme for children is organised, and guests may relax on the sun terrace with sun loungers. The public areas of the hotel include an open-air river-facing restaurant and a lounge bar. There is also a breakfast room and dining room on site. A buffet breakfast is served daily.
