It is set in an old 17th and 18th century convent with elements protected by the Patrimonio Urbano heritage organisation for their historic value. With an English-inspired décor, the hotel boasts 128 elegant rooms, along with a bar, gastronomic restaurant, pool and a panoramic terrace ideal for events, free wifi and a wellness and spa zone. It also has two meeting rooms and a car park. The Catalonia Donosti hotel has been built on an old 17th and 18th century convent that has kept the northern facade with the steeple and its two towers and the central body of the church with a restored ashlar. All the old parts of the original building are maintained, are of significant historical value and form part of the elements protected by Urban Heritage. The hotel's main entrance is a new-build construction in a modern style, creating an interesting contrast with the opposite facade. With an English-inspired décor, the hotel offers an elegant and stately ambiance, with noble materials and fabrics like velvet, marble, copper and numerous classical elements of local inspiration. If there is one thing about it that you shouldn't miss it is the views over La Concha beach, the cathedral and the centre of the city from the panoramic rooftop terrace.
