About Tafaria Castle And Country Lodge
Tafaria Castle is a country lodge, conference center, museum, and arts center located on a hill between Nyeri and Nyahururu, near the Aberdare Ranges overlooking the Laikipia plains. The castle houses the main reception, ballroom dining area, Moat bar, Dungeon disco and cinema, Bailey coffee lounge, Lord's Room, Chamber, and Lord's Court. Surrounding the castle are the swimming pool, tennis court, conference center, lookout deck, horse stables, arts center, and various accommodation quarters. Tafaria offers 58 rooms (two suites, seven deluxe, 11 superior, and 37 standard) accommodating up to 160 guests. The castle houses the Lord's Room, Chamber, and seven rooms in the Lord's Court, with additional rooms located around the castle grounds. Leisure activities include horseback riding, horse-drawn carriage rides, swimming, archery, tennis, a kids' park, basketball, medieval bowling, an outdoor gym, art tours, game drives, hiking, scenic park drives, bird watching, yoga, volleyball, badminton, cycling, a disco, cinema, and indoor games like pool and table tennis. Tafaria's tranquil location, open spaces, and indoor/outdoor meeting areas make it ideal for conferences and team building. The conference center features three meeting rooms (the Roundtable, Horseshoe, and Think-Tank) with a total capacity of 300. In this secluded rural setting, Tafaria's arts center provides a space for arts and heritage to flourish, offering collectors a public outlet and providing artists and creatives a place to work and inspire.
