About the Lodge at Ashford Castle
Panoramic lake views, mature woodlands, and Lisloughrey Quay combine to create a truly unique setting. Located next door to the historic Ashford Castle in Cong, County Mayo, the Lodge was originally built in 1865 for the estate manager. In 1939, Ashford Castle was converted into a hotel, with the Lodge continuing to host guests and events. Now part of the award-winning Red Carnation Hotel Collection, it offers mellow country house hospitality artfully combined with contemporary style to discerning travelers worldwide. Guests of the Lodge have full access to the castle's services and amenities, including its equestrian and falconry centers. Activities are numerous and varied, including horse riding, cycling, birdwatching, fishing, boating, walking, and driving tours.
